Thomas F. Noonan, L.L.C.
About Us

Attorney Thomas F. Noonan began his practice in 1976, after his graduation from St. John’s University School of Law. In 1983, he opened his office as a sole practitioner representing families and small businesses in the general practice of law. Although all attorneys must be aware of the hundreds of laws passed by the State and Federal government every year, and those statutes and codes that have been interpreted by the courts, but, unlike those firms who specialize in specific areas, the general practitioner must be aware of the changes made in more areas of the law so that those clients that require a specialist are directed to the proper area. In my opinion a general practitioner is not unlike a primary care physician in the medical field.

That being said, the bulk of the matters I handle for people and small businesses are, but not limited to, probate matters such as wills, trusts and estates, adoptions, conservatorships; criminal and motor vehicle violations – including DUI’s; landlord – tenant matters such as leases, evictions and collections of past due rent; family law including divorces and legal separations, child custody, visitation, support, restraining orders; the sale of real estate; boundary disputes; evictions; bankruptcies; establishment of a new business; preparation and filing of documents and license applications required by the government; partnerships and shareholders agreements; and debt collections. As a result of the collections and bankruptcies that I handle, Attorney Thomas F. Noonan L.L.C. is considered a “Debt Collection Agency” and a “Debt Relief Agency” under Federal Law.
